On April 14, 2025, the Fujian-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Promotion and Matching Conference, organized by the Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology, hosted by the Fujian Provincial Center for International Science and Technology Exchange, and supported by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, successfully concluded at the Hong Kong Science Park. Under the theme of "Deepening Sci-Tech Collaboration, Empowering Industrial Integration", the event attracted representatives from over a hundred sci-tech enterprises, research institutions, and investment organizations from Fujian and Hong Kong. The conference aimed to foster interconnectivity of technological resources, accelerate the transformation of innovative achievements, and promote collaborative development of industrial chains between the two regions.

Focusing on Medical Digitization: Fujian-Hong Kong Enterprises Sign Agreement to Co-establish Research Preparatory Center

One of the key highlights of the event was the strategic cooperation signing ceremony between Hong Kong's Jiying Technology Co., Ltd. and Fujian Yinengda Information Technology Co., Ltd. Witnessed by leaders from the Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the two parties announced the joint establishment of the "Medical Digital Health Research Preparatory Center." This initiative aims to integrate their respective technological expertise in medical informatization and AI-assisted diagnosis, develop systematic solutions for grassroots medical institutions, and drive digital upgrades in areas such as early gastrointestinal cancer screening and specialized disease model applications.

Under the agreement, the collaboration will leverage Yinengda’s extensive experience in healthcare reform informatization and Jiying Tech’s strengths in AI technology to create an innovative "County Medical Consortium + AI Diagnosis" model. The first phase of cooperation will pilot gastrointestinal cancer screening systems and integrated medical group management platforms in provinces such as Fujian and Guangdong. These efforts aim to establish benchmark models for informatization and promote the allocation of high-quality medical resources to grassroots communities.

Complementary Strengths: Pioneering New Frontiers in Smart Healthcare

As one of China’s earliest national healthcare informatization service providers, Fujian Yinengda Information Technology Co., Ltd. has been deeply involved in the Sanming healthcare reform, serving as a pioneer in this landmark initiative. Its core products, including the Hospital Smart Management Platform (HRP) and the County Medical Consortium Integration Platform, have been adopted by over 2,000 medical institutions across 28 provinces. A company representative stated, “This collaboration will enhance our service capabilities in grassroots medical digitization and amplify the impact of healthcare reform through AI empowerment.”

Jiying Technology specializes in AI-assisted diagnostic systems, with its early gastrointestinal cancer screening platform already deployed in more than 20 medical institutions. By 2025, its Helicobacter pylori infection detection system will enter the market alongside the launch of the "Marshall-Jinuo Research Institute," co-founded with Nobel Laureate Professor Barry Marshall. The CEO of Jiying Tech noted, “Partnering with Yinengda will accelerate the translation of our technologies into clinical practice and expand the application of specialized disease models in primary healthcare.”

Fujian-Hong Kong Collaboration: Building a Hub for Scientific Innovation

In his speech, the Director of the Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology emphasized that this partnership aligns with China’s "Healthy China" strategy and the Fujian-Hong Kong collaborative innovation framework. A representative from HKTDC highlighted that the integration of Hong Kong’s global research resources with Fujian’s industrial application scenarios will unlock new opportunities in biopharmaceuticals, digital health, and other fields, fostering a highland for cross-regional scientific cooperation.
